Job Description

Provide daily oversite for and assist the Field Service Technicians and Installation Technicians to ensure that ERS Wireless is providing the highest level of service and support, projects are getting installed correct and timely, and that staff are trained to meet the changing needs within the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Must be team-focused with a passion to meet customer needs and company goals.
  • Managing of the daily scheduling of service calls, project site walks, project installations for the team as assigned.
  • Work with vendors and customers for delivery of service only quotes.
  • Provide support to the sales team for service discussions with customers.
  • Assist service team with obtaining support from other vendors or internal to ensure they can complete their tasks.
  • Assist our Central Engineering team with site walks and/or scheduling of the correct individuals for those site walks.
  • Expedite projects, review backorders and direct accordingly to ensure timeliness on delivery of projects.
  • Work with both sales and service to ensure data that is required to fulfill a project is available and ready when the project is scheduled to begin.
  • Project Manage as needed to support local projects.
  • Work with Service Director to ensure service staff has a training plan in place and are provided time to complete the necessary training.
  • Manage service office staff and technical resources within the assigned territory and provide information, approve timesheets, approve Managed Time Off, provide feedback, do reviews, work with HR as needed for any disciplinary actions among other general tasks.
  • Work with customer to determine deadlines, urgency, timeline, and schedule for completing installation work.
  • Ensure that the service staff is practicing safe, basic housekeeping techniques in all work areas per OSHA guidelines.
  • Manage relationships with and provide proposal for service work for Motorola direct projects.
  • Work directly with customers as needed on issues or escalation of issues through resolution.
  • Work to make necessary improvements in daily functions within the service department and with the field team through process adjustment, change or assignment.


  • 2+ Years’ experience in Management within the Communications or similar industry
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
  • Experience in RF Technology and Networking or other communications industry
  • Ability to complete reports and documentation associated with job tasks.
  • Ability to be keep service staff focused and efficient while performing detailed and accurate work.
  • High level of communication capability to ensure clear, correct direction is provided to the service office and technical staff, interacting with other Service Managers, Service Director and Ownership.
  • Work with customer to determine deadlines, urgency, timeline, and schedule for completing installation work.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
