By lowering your bandwidth at the camera, HDSM SmartCodec technology can extend your network video recorder (NVR) retention times and help to lower your total cost of ownership. REDUCES BANDWIDTH BY UP TO 50 PERCENT HDSM SmartCodec technology automatically detects activity levels in multiple regions of a scene to optimize compression levels, and reduce bandwidth and storage consumption, all while maintaining high image detail of the areas that matter most. As a result, when activated HDSM SmartCodec technology can reduce bandwidth by up to 50 percent. HDSM SmartCodec technology is designed to work with the Idle Scene Mode feature to achieve even greater bandwidth and storage savings. This technology combined with on-board patented Avigilon self-learning video analytics allows the H4 Thermal camera to detect people and vehicles in areas with poor visibility, challenging lighting conditions, absolute darkness, and partly camouflaged scenes. The bullet-style, multi-environment design is outdoor rated and uses a high-performance uncooled thermal sensor.
